Caulking
Caulking is a flexible material used to seal gaps and joints in buildings to prevent the entry of water, air, dust, and other elements. It can be used in a variety of applications.
Trowels
A trowel refers to the notched trowel used to apply flooring adhesive evenly onto the subfloor before laying the timber/vinyl boards. The notches control the amount and thickness of adhesive, ensuring proper coverage and adequate bonding between the timber/vinyl and the substrate.
Liquid Nails and PVA
Liquid Nails — a solvent-based, synthetic rubber adhesive used for bonding materials like wood, metal, concrete, and drywall. Known for strength and durability in heavy-duty projects.
PVA Glue — high solids, one part crosslinking PVA. Designed to bond a wide range of timbers, MDF, particle board and ply.
Tapes
Masking Tape — a paper tape with a pressure-sensitive adhesive that’s easy to tear and unwind.
Double Sided Tape (DST) — any pressure-sensitive tape coated with adhesive on both sides, designed to stick two surfaces together invisibly.
Carpet Gripper
A fixing strip fitted around the perimeter of a room to secure carpet edges in place. Angled pins grip the backing, ensuring a tight, smooth finish and preventing movement or wrinkling.
Miscellaneous
Stanley Blades — high carbon steel blades for general purpose cutting and a long cutting life.
Tradie’s Bog — a two-part polyester building filler for quick repairs to wood and other common building materials.
C1 Brad Nails — thin, sharpened nails with a small head and diameter. Available in 18 Gauge, 15mm and 25mm lengths.
Methylated Spirits — used as a solvent and cleaning fluid.
Carpenter Pencils — a rectangular or elliptical cross-section pencil for quick reference to 1/4 and 1/2 inch measurements, also resistant to rolling away.
2C Kit — a two pack system consisting of a high viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive and an aerosol activator. Available in 50g Adhesive & 200ml Activator, or 100g Adhesive & 400ml Activator.
Knee Pads — protective padding devices designed to safeguard against impact and cushion your knees while bearing your body weight.
